A couple of years ago our Chief Engagement Officer, Patrick Grady, was interviewed by WebEx because of some of the things his company was doing with online meetings. The core elements are still the same – and can translate to live meetings.
In short, he encouraged people to know the audience, prepare their content and make it interesting and meaningful, and continuously engage the audience.
But too often – these things are overlooked because we run out of time or money or the objective changes (or seems to). In reality, the objective rarely changes … and if well-defined can help keep us on track. The tactics – even the goals – can change. But the overarching objective – the BIG PICTURE why… is usually constant. Stay true to that.
